I’m Emmanuel Allen. I live in Toronto, where I push computers to their limits.

I have been an avid Rust programer since I first discovered it when I was 17 and looking for a language that interacted with hardware more directly than JavaScript while also being more ergonomic than assembly. I was lucky enough that I was the first programer at the startup Quantum Bridge Technologies, and Rust was a perfect fit for their Distributed Symmetric Key Exchange product.

Today, I’m working on building skills so that I can be a part of creating the next set of high performance software systems. My current explorations include rewriting Sqlite in Rust and creating digital fashion tools in Unreal.
